Who We Are
Our shop came to be after my experience searching for accessible sensory play activities for my two kids – affectionately nicknamed “The Bear” and “The Bird”.
It was nearly impossible to find things that fit my kids’ sensory needs and preferences that weren’t needlessly expensive. So I made my own.
After DIYing many kits -- and with much prodding from supportive family and friends -- The Bear & Bird Company opened in 2021.
Our goal is “sensory play for all”, and we mean it. Want one of our products but need a few tweaks? Looking for a theme you don’t see? Need a jar with only blue stuff in it? We’ve got you. We welcome custom orders and modifications and will happily incorporate special interests and preferences in any way we can.
We want our products to be accessible, appropriate and interesting for the kid (or grown up) that uses it.
